1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
At B-Labs ("we", "our", or "us"), your privacy is our highest engineering priority. ImageResizer for iOS is architected with a fundamental principle: your photos, metadata, and files are exclusively yours. We do not operate remote photo processing servers, we do not require account registration, and we do not store, view, monetize, or transmit your images to any third party.
2. Photo & Media Library Access
To provide core image resizing, batch processing, aspect ratio cropping, and format conversion capabilities, ImageResizer requests system permissions to access your Photo Library (via standard Apple Photos framework) or Files app:
-
On-Device Execution Only:
All image bitmap rendering, Lanczos3 resampling, DPI adjustments, and JPEG/PNG/WebP/HEIC transcoding take place entirely inside your device local hardware memory (CoreGraphics & Apple Metal).
-
Direct Library Export:
When you save an optimized photo or batch queue, it is written directly back to your local Apple Photos library or saved into your local sandboxed files.
-
No Background Harvest:
ImageResizer only accesses the specific photos you select or authorize via the iOS system photo picker.
3. Metadata, EXIF & GPS Location Data
Digital camera photos frequently contain embedded EXIF metadata, including precise GPS coordinates, capture timestamp, camera serial number, and lens parameters. ImageResizer includes an on-device EXIF Sanitizer feature:
-
Sanitization Control:
When enabled, the app completely strips GPS latitude/longitude tags, altitude, and device identifiers from output files before saving or sharing.
-
Local Processing:
Metadata inspection and removal are conducted entirely in sandboxed device memory without any external network connections.
4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (StoreKit 2)
ImageResizer offers optional Pro upgrades (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime) through Apple StoreKit 2. All purchase transactions, payment processing, billing, and subscription renewals are handled exclusively by Apple Inc. according to Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
B-Labs does not collect, receive, or store your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. We only receive cryptographically signed transaction receipts from Apple on-device to unlock your Pro features.
5. Telemetry, Diagnostics & Crash Reporting
To ensure app stability and debug fatal crashes across different iOS device models:
-
Apple Diagnostic Reports:
If you have opted in to share diagnostic information with app developers through your iOS Settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple provides developers with anonymized crash logs and stack traces.
-
No Image Content:
These diagnostic reports contain technical device metadata (such as iOS version, device model, and crash stack offset) and never include image pixels, filenames, or user data.
6. Zero Third-Party Advertising & Data Brokers
ImageResizer does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking beacons, social media tracking pixels, or data broker integrations. We do not participate in Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) ad tracking because we do not track you.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
ImageResizer is a general-purpose utility designed for photographers, designers, and mobile users of all ages. Because we do not collect personal information, require accounts, or transmit data over the internet, our application is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child safety standards.
8. Your Rights & Data Control
Under global privacy regulations (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA), users have rights regarding their personal data. Because ImageResizer processes all data locally on your device and does not maintain user accounts or cloud databases:
-
Permission Revocation:
You can modify or revoke Photo Library access permissions at any time via your device settings: Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > ImageResizer.
-
Cache Clearance:
You can purge all temporary image preview buffers directly inside ImageResizer Settings > Storage > Clear Cache, or by uninstalling the app.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new iOS system capabilities or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
